Icons Sport held its inaugural Middle School Select Combine on October 12th at Thompson High School in the metro Birmingham area. The Middle School Select Combine allowed 60 players that were nominated to showcase their talent in front of our staff one last time prior to their middle school season.

2024 Standouts

Tristan Gilmore 6’1 G/F is a long athletic athlete that gets right to it! Gilmore started camp off knocking down midrange jump shots, attacking the hoop and finishing above the rim. Gilmore had the “dunk on everybody” mentality. Gilmore took advantage of this weekend a definitely put his name in the hat as one of the tops in Alabama.

KJ Burton 5’5 G is a sneaky guard that can fill up the stat sheets. Burton’s ability to consistently knock down the three ball and his ability to beat his defender off the dribble really gives Burton a chance be a prospect in the future.

Cam Wormley 5'8 G 2024 is a tough lead guard that’s able to score in bunches. Wormley seemed hobbled during camp. His AAU coach informed us Wormley is a 2 sport athlete. Bright future ahead!

Isaiah Fuller 6’1 G/F is a big guard that came into camp and made a name for himself. Fuller gets to the rack and can finish with either hand.

Cai Bates 6’1 G recently moved to Alabama from Florida and he has an extremely bright future. Bates can score the ball from all 3 levels. With a combination of high IQ & athleticism, we see why he is playing high school ball and still in middle.

Myles Cook 6’2 F is a strong body forward that finishes well around the paint with a soft touch but has the ability to play above the rim.

Adrian Wooley 6’ G is a lengthy lefty point guard that knocks down the open 3 consistently and has the ball on a string. He is a crafty guard with great size for his position.

DJ Hamlett 5’11 G ceiling is through the roof. He has all the tools along with the swagger. Hamlett has great size for his position with extremely long arms that can play the passing lanes well.

Jaquan Mcroy 6’7 F Still in the early stages of his development but the big man competes at a high level and has potential to be really dominant in the coming years.

Jayden Scott 5’7 G is a scrappy point guard that can control the pace of the game well. Scott also defended well during camp and took pride on defense. He is a nice 2-way guard.

Lacedric Foster 5’10 G is a big body play making point guard. Foster has a linebacker build but very shifty and always finding the open man.

JaMichael Adair 5’6 G has a high skill set and has the ability to make unbelievable shots. Adair is shifty with the ball and very unselfish. Adair is another camper that will bypass middle school ball and play for his high school this season.

Tommy Tisdale III 5’10 G is a big skilled guard that scored the ball well all camp. Tisdale plays high school varsity as an eighth grader he has tremendous upside and will be a legitimate college prospect for the class of 2024.

Emanuel Johnson 5’7 G is a strong lead guard that finishes well at the basket with great body control. Johnson has a great build for his style of pay.

Caleb White 5’7 G may be the best pure scorer in Alabama for the class of 2024. White has a beautiful stroke and can finish at the rack through contact.

Jacorey Whitted 6’5 G/F is very long and skilled for his position. Whitted still has room for growth but his potential is there. We look forward to following this prospect along his journey.
